Pottie's is
proud to announce a new student award for Box Hill Institute,
open to students of the Horse Studies Group within the Department of
Biotechnology & Animal Sciences. Horse Studies Co-ordinator,
Melissa Alexander, has been working in collaboration with Jeremy
White, Managing Director of Sykes Vet International, and together
they have formulated a “Star of the Future” Award to be given
to the student most likely to succeed in the equestrian competition
world.
The winning student
will be chosen from approximately ninety students currently
completing Certificate II in Equine Industry & Certificate III in
Agriculture – Horse Breeding. Students are asked to submit a report
at the end of each semester, detailing their competition results for
the previous six months and their short and long-term goals. The
winning student will be chosen by the teaching staff within the
Horse Studies area and will be presented with a product pack worth
$500 of Pottie’s Horse Products at the graduation ceremony in
December 2007.
“We are keen to
reward those students already involved within the horse industry,
and to encourage those who are competing, to involve their academic
horse work with their competitive work, “ Melissa commented.
Pottie's and Box
Hill Institute look forward to continuing their working
relationship. |
